Overdraft Privilege

* This discretionary overdraft service is available to eligible Personal Checking Accounts and Free Checking Accounts (Free Checking account charges are limited to “free” monthly maintenance fees. Our normal overdraft or non-sufficient funds charges will apply for each item.)
* Avoid high charges from merchants for returned checks
* Have new convenience and flexibility in managing your funds

Standard Overdraft Practices

  • We do authorize and pay overdrafts for checks and other transactions made using your checking account number along with any Automatic bill payments using your checking account number.
  • We do NOT authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM transactions or everyday debit card transactions unless you ask us to.  (Contact the Bookkeeping department for information)
  • We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of overdraft.

    If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

  • We will charge you a fee of $33.00 for each time (item) we pay an overdraft
  • You will not be charged for more than 4 items per day. There is no overdraft fee when your account is overdrawn by $10.00 or less at the end of our business day.

Contact customer support at 304-877-5551 to enroll.
Once established, you can access your account information simply by dialing 1-877-475-9265 and logging in.  You can access account activity, balance information and transfer funds from one Bank of Mount Hope account to another.
